Faith Community Nursing helps bridge the gap between faith and health in our congregation and our community. Please reach out if you or someone you know can benefit from assistance in promoting physical, emotional/mental, and spiritual health. There is absolutely no charge for a consultation. Please note that our insurance does not permit our nurse to provide invasive procedures, administer or prescribe medications, or serve as a replacement for existing health care.
Our faith community nurse works part-time for the church but is available for the entire White Lake Community. There is no charge.
A faith community nurse connects individuals with health care, regardless of their needs. Although our nurse cannot diagnose or prescribe, she can offer
Education on health concerns, self-care, and preventative medicine
Help with understanding and accessing Medicare and other affordable government medical programs
Connection with other local nonprofits and health care agencies that can diagnose illness and prescribe treatments
Support groups for grief or medical hardship, some of which are housed here at Ferry Church under her supervision
Spiritual, physical, and emotional support
Access to free CPR training
