Statement of Faith
We trust in God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Trusting God the Father's absolute wisdom, power and love.
Trusting Jesus Christ for salvation from sin and suffering. Christ is the head of the church, universal and local. We believe an encounter with Jesus transforms lives!
Trusting in the Holy Spirit, through uniquely inspired words called the Bible, to form us into God's covenant people.
This relationship with God is available to all who confess their sins, and call out to Jesus in faith. This is a free gift.
Worshiping God is the central activity of our church life.
Worship is a way we honor God, and learn from Christ through music, art, words, holy sacraments, and prayers.
We mature as disciples through Christian education, study of the Bible, friendships, and service to others. We serve Christ by sharing the Good News through words and deeds.
We are just sinners, walking the way of Christ the best we can, seeking to love as Jesus loved.
We are guided in faith by the Lord's Prayer, the Apostles' Creed, and the Ten Commandments. Commentary on these are found in the Heidelberg Catechism. Our ultimate guide in all matters of faith and morals is the Bible.
