When are worship services, and what are they like?
Changes due to Covid-19 concerns...
The worship service is at 9:30 am Sunday mornings. We ask that you wear a mask while walking in the building and singing.  You may remove your mask while seated.  There are designated seating areas, with some pews roped off.
Our services are usually a blend of traditional and contemporary music (depending on availability of our musicians, we may do all of one style on a particular Sunday).
The worship service is about 1 hour long.
We sing, pray, and hear God's Word.  There are songs or hymns, prayers, and a typical sermon will be about 20 minutes.
At most services, there is a time to share joys and concerns of God's people. People may raise their hand and share something they would like prayer for, or something they would like to thank God for.  A worship leader will pray for the things mentioned.  This helps our congregation know how to pray for each other during the week - and to celebrate an anniversary, birth of a new baby, or a graduation!

Are kids welcome in the service?
Yes!
Children are an integral part of life and worship at Ferry.  Kids are welcome in the worship service!  During each service, the kids are invited to the front steps to listen and participate in the children’s story, a special story just for them about God, life and faith (typically kids 2-8 years old, although all are welcome).

Will you ask me for money?
Offering drop boxes are available at several locations.  Please do not feel obligated to give.  Those who regularly attend Ferry Memorial Reformed Church often give to the church as a way to thank God for what he has done for us, and also as a reminder that God owns all we have, and provides for us.

Will I be singled out, or asked to say anything?
No. You are free to be as anonymous as you like.

What should I wear?
Wear whatever you are comfortable in.  We are here to worship God.  Ferry folk are a diverse bunch; some wear blazers, some wear jeans.  Many wear "business casual".

What about communion?
We have not scheduled communion at this time due to Covid-19 concerns.
We take communion throughout the year.  If you believe in Jesus as summed up in the Apostles' Creed, you are welcome to participate.  You do not have to be a member of Ferry Memorial Reformed Church.  If you choose not to participate, simply pass the bread and juice to the person next to you.  Upon occasion, we come forward for communion; people leave their seats to receive communion at the front of the church.  If you choose not to participate, you can simply stay seated, allowing those who want to receive communion to go around you.

After the service
We are not providing refreshments at this time.

Please wear a mask as you exit. You may strike up a conversation outdoors.
