YAY GOD! Sunday, May 5
I had a fellow pastor that would always reply to the good things happening in my life and church with Yay God! So, I stole the phrase and use it for the annual Sunday each Spring when I would look back over the past year and reflect upon all God had done in and through us in the past year. Again I invite everyone to write notes to others in the congregation that you have been blessed by or that you have seen God bless. We often overlook the small things we expect to happen, but this is a chance to intentionally praise God and thank others for what they have done in our lives. So, there will be time in the service to share some of the things God has done at Ferry this last year, so, come prepared to share them. Come and see what God has done, his awesome deeds for mankind! Psalm 66:5

Maundy Thursday service April 18, 2019, 6 pm
The name 'Maundy' is derived from the Latin word 'mandatum', meaning a commandment. Jesus Christ, at the Last Supper, commanded: "And now I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." John 13:34.
This year we will be focusing on the Passover Story. What happened in Egypt. What they were suppose to do and what they were suppose to remember. What it was to point to, and what Jesus does in the upper room to fulfill it. Plus, what he does to bring in the New Covenant. This will not be a Seder meal, in that we will not be eating a full meal. We will have elements from the meal that you will get to try. But more important is understanding the symbols and celebrating Communion together. This is a children friendly event, in fact we will need some kids to help with the meal. This event will be in the Fellowship Hall. We may not be broadcasting it live, so make sure you plan to attend. If you are a guest, and you believe in the words of the Apostles' Creed, you are welcome to participate in communion. You are also free to not participate.

Faith Stories March 20, 6:30-7:30 pm
Several of our senior saints shared their faith stories with our 6th-12th graders. They told a story of how they saw God working in their lives. What can we learn about God? What can we learn about our own faith by hearing about someone else's?
We praise God for our senior saints!

March 6, 2019 7 am-8pm
Begin Lent with a time of self-guided, reflective prayer. Church will be open 7 am-8 pm. Stop by at any time to go through "prayer stations" for reflection, prayer and preparation for Lent. Among those stations will be an art station, prayer of confession station with disappearing paper, and a prayer Labyrinth. This is an ancient practice of walking a path where you leave the world and enter into the presence of God before returning back into the world. The high school and middle school kids will be at the stations from 6:00-7:30 pm, so if you want solitude, we suggest you come prior to then.
